Wonder how it all works? Or maybe, you’re wondering, if it really works? Can refunds really be made?Well, even if we answer yes to all your questions, doubts can never be cleared by something that had already happened. So we’re going to show you one true case of how easy refunds can be made.
We received an email from alwaysforyou.exxxxx (at) gmail.com on 26th October 2008. All words in the email exchanges below both parties are unedited (only the handphone number of our previous Sales & Marketing Executive is crossed out).
(Note: These exchanges were made when Goody Books Online Store was operating under the main Goody Books website. Although it is a refund made in Singapore, we do accept refunds from our Malaysia customers too.)

Thank you for contacting us.
Firstly, according to our record, we had checked that you purchased a total of 3 books namely as I Believe You, To Forget You and You Are Here. I would like to ask if you want the refund of two or three books so that we can further advise you on the amount of refund.
For your information, your refund will be given to you personally in cash. May I suggest you to come down to our office this coming saturday in order to refund you the money and for you to return us the books.
Secondly, the refund only include the price of the book but not the handling and postage fees.
Please take note that in order for the refund to be valid, the condition of the books must be of acceptable condition which means the books should not have any bend or tear.

And so, on that day, our Sales & Marketing Executive SMSed her in the morning, but there was no reply. However, she eventually came to the office with a friend of hers. The process was very fast: Our Sales & Marketing Executive met her and passed her the money as she passed us the books.
And most importantly? We did it with a smile, and a lot of laughter. She went off, without a doubt, happily too.
